What We Teach

This Digest is only intended to give a summary of our beliefs, teachings, and distinctive at Olive Tree. We would encourage you to "Search the Scriptures" to see if these things be so. Our purpose is to expose all persons to Biblical Truth, but allow the Holy Spirit to bring the conviction and assurance of this Truth. We are a Non-Rabbinical, Torah Observant Assembly of Messiah Yeshua. Yeshua observed a biblical Torah lifestyle, He was the Word/Torah made flesh, setting the example to release us from religious traditions that blinds and hinders us from the truth in Torah. We seek to follow His example by living a pure spirit-filled Torah based lifestyle, observing His Commandments and Holy Days.

We have been commissioned to: Go into the World and make Disciples of All Nations. Baptizing them in the Name of Abba, HaBen, and Ruach HaKodesh and Teaching them to observe all the Commandments and He will be with us to the End of the Age.

  • Yod-Hey-Vav–Hey (pronounced Yahveh) is the Name of the Creator; it means "I AM". Elohim is the title of the creator and means "Mighty One/God", Adonai means "Master" or "Sovereign"; these are the Name and Titles of the Creator.

  • The Name of the Messiah is Yeshua (not Yahshua) which means "salvation". It is spelled Yod-Shin-Vav-Ayin.

  • We teach that the Holy Scriptures consist of the Tanakh (Old Testament) and the later writings, the B'rit HaDashah or "Renewed Covenant" (New Testament) in their original writings are the only infallible, inerrant and authoritative word of Yahweh the Creator.

  • We acknowledge that The Shema, "Hear O Israel, Yahveh our Elohim, Yahveh is One", teaches that Yahveh is Echad (One), a united composite unity, that His nature is eternally existent and there is no other.

  • We teach that Yeshua of Nazareth is both Son of Man by Miriam and Son of Elohim through the Virgin Birth, that He is the promised Messiah of Yisrael. Yeshua is the only way to the Father.

  • We teach that man's only hope for redemption is through the atonement made by Yeshua the Messiah, resulting in regeneration through the Rauch HaKodesh, which is New Birth.

  • We teach that the Rauch HaKodesh, the promise of the Father was given at Shavuot and empowers us, seals us, leads us and teaches us, We acknowledge that all the Gifts of the Ruach are operational

  • We teach that salvation has always been "by faith", and that works of the law, and righteous acts have never delivered anyone from the wrath to come.

  • We will proclaim the Good-News of Salvation which is the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah. A person can not be delivered from the wrath to come without believing the Gospel.

  • We acknowledge that the Kehillah, the body of Messiah is composed of both Jews/Israelites (physical descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob) and Gentiles (non-Jews) who have received Yeshua the Messiah as their promised redeemer are "re-grafted/grafted" "into" the Olive Tree of Yisrael becoming spiritual sons and daughters of Abraham through Yeshua.

  • We teach that the Kehillah is governed by Elders and ministered by the Five-Fold Ministry of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, and Pastor/Teachers. It is serviced by Deacons/Deaconesses.

  • We teach that "Biblical/Hebraic Judaism", is the faith of the first century disciples of Yeshua, which we seek to practice, and acknowledges continuity of faith in the one true Elohim. It is revealed only through the Holy Scriptures by the Ruach HaKodesh and manifested in Yeshua.

  • We follow the Biblical/Torah (non-rabbinic) food regulations of Clean and Unclean foods.

  • We teach the physical resurrection of the redeemed to everlasting life in the New Earth. We teach that the lost will suffer eternal separation and everlasting punishment apart from Yahweh.
